If you have never tried homemade BBQ sauce you NEED to—especially this recipe! It tastes way better than the store-bought varieties. It is so fresh and the flavors balance each other out amazingly well. There is a little bit of sweet, salty, mild spice, and smoke, which together form the BEST homemade BBQ sauce ever.

I love using a smoker to make the most insane-tasting meat. The other day I made slow-cooked pork that was so tender it just fell off the bone. I made this delicious homemade barbecue recipe for pulled pork sandwiches and it was very very good—everyone wanted seconds and thirds.

This recipe is not only good for pork; it is great for any meat or other recipe that calls for barbecue sauce. And it makes a lot so you can store the leftovers for the next many meals as well.

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a large saucepan and cook on medium heat until well mixed. Turn to low heat and simmer for 20 minutes—simmering longer for a thicker sauce, shorter for a thinner one.

I've tried making barbeque sauce before with absolutely no success; they always came out way to vinegar-y. Super excited to try this one; thanks for sharing!
