This is our Simple Nativity Christmas Mantel.
I just love Christmas! I also really enjoy switching up our decorations and mantels each year.
This year I wanted to decorate our upstairs mantel in a sophisticated manner.
I thought decorating in reds and greens with a splash of white would look nice.
I also wanted to make the mantel religious.
I have plans to decorate our mantel in a juvenile way (a little more kid based), however, since our upstairs mantel is so predominant I wanted it to be beautiful and also showcase the true reason for the season.
I love the way it turned.
It has a simple nativity set up in garlands of pine and berries.
I put the stockings to the sides so that the nativity stood out even more.
It only took a few supplies, all of which I already had on hand.

Directions on how to make this Simple Nativity Christmas Mantel
I wrote a blog post about how I decorate my mantels. I give a lot of tips and tricks, if you want you can check that out here.
1- First, I ran two garlands along the mantel so that they could hang off on the edges a litte.
2- I placed a decorative fluffy garland of pine in the middle.
3- I added two swags of cranberries bunches on the sides of the decorative garland of pine.
4- I placed pine cones in the decorative bunch/garland.
5- I set up candles on both sides.
6- I taped our stockings onto the mantel using packaging tape and covered it up with the pine garland.
I usually tape my stockings. They do hold and the tape hasn’t negatively effected the finish on my mantel either.
7- I placed a nativity front and center.
That’s it.
It only took me about 10 minutes to set up and I just love its simplicity and beauty.
Merry Christmas!
