I LOVE chess. It is my all-time favorite board game…Stratego is a close second on board game ratings, and Risk a third… I guess I love strategy. I never really knew that about myself until I just typed out my favorite board games…
Anyway, today our elves are playing chess with one another.
They are playing using a chess board my husband bought years ago.
They are leaning against some Knight bookends I had in my office.
I love that Winter and Pepper are wearing quilts and holding bagpipes.
It reminds me of Scotland.
I’ve been to Scotland twice and loved it each time.
My husband and I stayed in a castle,
went to Edinburgh, visited the family history museum there and spoke with some experts about some missing family members in my family tree,
ate at a neat pub, and so much more.
I think we need to go back again soon!
