I love Alaska! I’ve been there multiple times and when I was there in the winter I got to go dog mushing.
I couldn’t get enough of it so we went a few times. Each experience was different. In the picture of me above, we ran the team in deep powder and it was amazingly soft but the dogs had to work hard. Another few times we went on snow pack and it was so crazy how much easier it was for the team to pull. They were quick we went fast!
I love Alaska so much, we even named our oldest, Denali, after the mountain.
This scene was so, so much fun to wake up to because it reminded me of going dog mushing.
The dogs even moved and barked if their backs were pressed. See video on this post to watch them move.
Winter Mint and her brother Pepper Mint were decked out in Alaskan winter wear.
They made sure to pack snow shoes just in case they needed them.
Snow shoeing in Denali National Park is a memory I won’t forget and I’d highly recommend it if you get to go to Alaska in the winter.
The elves were on a sled connected to the six huskies.
Pepper brought with him a Santa sack slung on his shoulders.
And a squirrel hitched a ride.
I loved Winters boots and the details on her snow gear.
What an amazing time they must have had mushing until we woke up.
The dogs were harnessed all together and as mentioned, they’d move and bark. See the video I uploaded.
If I had to guess how they set up the scene, I would guess they purchased a couple of Eskimo dolls and a sled off of Ebay. They likely got six Husky Puppy Dog Plush Mini Pet Stuffed Animal Kid Connection dogs as well and harnessed them up.
The kids had an amazing time pushing the dogs and letting them try to pull the sled.
