Neighbor Christmas Gift: Macarons.
This is a gorgeous neighbor Christmas gift.
It is a macaron box with a clear top filled with six macarons.
It is easy to assemble, impressive, and delicious.
Macarons are typically expensive as they are difficult to make and often do not turn out.
The fun part about this gift is that you use store-bought macarons. Thus, you don’t have to bake them; these Tipiak French Macarons 36 count are very pretty and taste great!
The box currently at Costco (December 2023) contains the following 6 flavors: Salted Caramel, Pistachio, Chocolate Hazelnut, Almond white Chocolate, Red Velvet, and Crème Brûlée.
I have a post about Classy Neighbor Christmas gifts for around $2.00 each. You may wonder how much a nice box with six macarons cost around $2.00. The tip is to get these while they are on sale at Costco for about $11.50 a box of 36.
Packaged in this manner and using the tips in the cost breakdown section below, you can gift these for under $2.50 each.
Supply List for this Neighbor Christmas Gift: Macarons
Boxes-12×2¼x2 Inch white with clear window boxes the exact brand I used here
white mini candy liners x 6 I liked the way that using candy liners looked but if you don’t think you can transport them carefully then I’d leave these out. For instance, when I handed the boxes to my kids to carry they promptly shook the boxes and while the macarons were fine the liners got moved around and then it looked bad.

Directions on how to assemble this Neighbor Christmas Gift: Macarons
Continue reading and/or watch the video on this page for assembly tips.
1- Assemble the paper box.
2- Take the plastic off of the clear lid and very carefully open it up without creasing the edges. You want to wait to crease the edges until you have slipped it onto the white box first. If you try to crease the clear lids before you slip it onto the white rectangular box you will likely get ugly lines in the top of the plastic that you want nice and clear and pretty. If this is confusing please watch the video for visual details.
3- Put 3 mini candy holders into the box. This is optional but I liked using them as it adds a little bit more to the presentation.
Update- I liked the way that using candy liners looked but if you don’t think you can transport them carefully then I’d leave these out. For instance, when I handed the boxes to my kids to carry they promptly shook the boxes and while the macarons were fine the liners got moved around and then it looked bad.
4- Wrap the box in a pretty twist string and tie at the top.
That’s it. Each one takes about 2 minutes to assemble and only cost $2.50.
This box of 6 macarons is a delicious, unique, and gorgeous neighbor Christmas gift.
