Panda Candy Birthday Party
My daughter was turning nine and I asked her what theme she wanted for her birthday party.
She wanted a color scheme with pastel colors such as pinks, purples, teals, white, and blues.
She also wanted a candy bar with a variety of candy that she and her friends could choose from.
We were trying to think of something else to add to the party for more of a theme and since one of her favorite animals is a panda bear, we thought it would be fun to combine all three ideas.
So, we created this pastel-colored Panda Candy Birthday party.
We made a Panda Candy Chocolate Cake to match the theme…
My daughter and I had so much fun baking and designing this cake!
She said, “It’s the BEST cake ever!”.
Which, of course, there are much better cakes out there; it just made me happy that she thought it was the best.
I link to the tutorial for this cake below.
Supply List for this Panda Candy Birthday Party
sparkle curtains (white x 8, aqua x1, purple x1, pink)
balloons
I bought two pastel arch packs,
2 packs of 3 Panda Mylar balloons,
1 pack of mylar candy balloons,
confetti sprinkles ice cream balloons
and a number 9 mylar balloon.
We had an air compressor with a balloon nozzle to fill them all up.
I used clear packaging tape to attach mylar balloons to my front planter pots and our balloon arch as I can’t find anything else that works.
I use crafting wire to attach the balloon arch to our photography/curtain stand.

How to Set Up this Panda Candy Birthday Party
1- Set up a curtain stand and place curtains on the stand. I set them up in the following pattern: 2 white, 1 purple, 2 white, 1 pink, 2 white, 1 aqua, and 2 white.
Blow up the balloons and make one and one half balloon arches.
I fill 1.5 balloon arch lengths full of balloons and then I attach the first full arch length to the stand.
It goes up one side and across the top of the stand.
Then I hang the other 1/2 arch full of balloons going down the other side.
This is because it is much easier to hang arches this way.
After it is hung I use balloon stickers that usually come with the arches to fill in empty spaces.
One of these days I’ll do a video of how I make my balloon arches.
For now, if you have questions please comment and ask them below.
I set up the entrance of the party with candy and panda balloons.
The mylar balloons do not stick well with balloon tape.
So, I had to use clear packaging tape to attach them to my planter pots to get them to stay put.
The nice thing is, the packaging tape does hold the balloons well but then it also comes off easily and doesn’t pop the balloons as it is removed.
I put the invitation on our door so our guests knew that they were at the correct home.
My daughters and Aurora’s friends loved this party and decor.
