My son is on a football team and a few of us moms wanted to keep morale up by hosting pep rallies before their football games.
It was a tough season due to some league restructuring, team mismatching, poor refereeing, and a few kids got injured. These pep rallies helped keep them excited.
I wanted to do football themed desserts, so I tried to get creative.
This dessert was something I didn’t see on Pinterest, I came up with it. It is simple, quick, well liked, and football-themed.
Plus, it easily fed the 30 ish people who ate from it with some left-overs.
I made the boys these poppy seed ham and cheese sliders as well so this truly was just a dessert. If this is all I fed them it would not have been enough so keep that in mind its a great dessert for 30 if something else if provided.
What I did was get a piece of thick cardboard and covered it with tin foil.
Then I put down about 100 Nutty Buddy bars in the shape of a football.
It took 2.5 boxes from Sam’s Club, so about 50-2 packs (100 bars) and then about 5 bars of Rice Krispie treats originals (normal sized).
This cost about $30 to feed a lot of boys and it made a big impact on the pep rally table.
Supply list for this Pep Rally Football Dessert Centerpiece
3- 24 pack boxes of Nutty Buddys (I needed about 50 packs)
1 box of Rice Krispie Treats (I used about 5)
1 large piece of cardboard
tin foil
cutting mat and knife
Directions to make this Pep Rally Football Dessert Centerpiece
Put down a punch of Nuddy Buddy bars in the shape of a football and fill the middle by trimming the edges of those bars going in the middle.
On the next layer, step it in a little, making the football a bit smaller.
Keep going up to the top like a pyramid.
Top the top with trimmed and smashed down Rice Krispies to make the laces and design.
That’s it.
Go Team!
