Simple And Quick Dino Party
My son, Brighton, was turning four, and we were in a very busy time of year. I looked at some different themes that I thought would be simple and quick. Then Brighton got to choose from them. He chose a Dino themed party.
We live pretty close to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum, and they recently opened a fun and interactive Dino playland with lots of slides and games. We have a pass there this year, so my kids got in free, and his few friends that came were 1/2 off. It only cost about $50 to bring my kids and Brighton’s friends.
To make this party quick and easy, I ordered some fun items from Amazon. Brighton loved helping assemble the party favor boxes.
I got the egg cakes (this was around Easter time, so they were ready to purchase) from Maceys.
We had a blow-up Dino costume my older son once wore for Halloween, and he dressed up in that as a surprise, and Brighton and his friends loved being chased by a T-Rex.
The kids had a blast. It only took about an hour of planning and ordering and another hour of assembly and shopping. It cost about $100.
Brighton and his friends loved it. So did I! I didn’t know you are not allowed to have party stuff on the grounds of the Dino museum without paying for the expensive party room until months afterwards when I read something on their website about it… oops.
That said, they did not come out and stop us or tell us to leave so that was nice.
Supply List
Now that I know, I wouldn’t do it again but it was quick, inexpensive, easy and the kids—especially Brighton had a blast.
