In our family, all of the kids (and sometimes the adults) go Easter egg hunting. Everyone usually ends up with quite a bit of candy. To try to make things a little more healthy, a few of my blogging friends and I each created a no-candy Easter basket. (I’ve included photos and links to all of them at the end of this post.)
Recently, I watched Miss Potter on Amazon, which has received amazing reviews (4.75 stars out of 2,087)! It’s a family movie that is appropriate for all ages. I highly recommend it. Miss Potter, and my son’s adoration for books, were my inspiration for this basket.
Here are the contents:
I found a lot of these cute books at a thrift store. But they can also be found on Amazon.
You can find the Peter Rabbit book/bunny combo here.
Quack Quack with Peter Rabbit, which makes a quacking sound, can be found here.
The third book, Colors Everywhere, is not a Peter Rabbit book, but the colors and style matched and there is a rabbit on the front so I thought it worked really well.
The fourth book is a story book for beginning readers called, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, found here.
The fifth book is a bedtime story book with several different stories by Beatrix Potter, found here.
I also picked up the basket at the thrift store. I stamped a few white eggs with a rabbit stamp I bought at Michael’s.
I bought Easter eggs for a craft project and my son has been having a fun time throwing them and picking them up. So I put a few of those in the basket for him to play with as well.
Overall, his Easter basket didn’t cost me very much, and we will have a great time reading these books together.
