Easter is one of my favorite holidays. We always get together as a family and celebrate. Here are 5 Family Fun Easter traditions that I adore!
1. Buying Easter dresses/outfits. While growing up, before Easter my mom would take us to the mall and we would get to pick out an Easter outfit. It was a treat to actually go to the mall together. She is very frugal and sticks to a budget so the only other time we went to the mall with her in an entire year (usually) was for back-to-school shopping. Here are a few of my favorite Easter dresses and outfits for this coming spring.
2. Decorate Easter Eggs. We would boil and decorate eggs together. It was so fun. We would dye them, color them, put stickers on them, etc. We would eat them over the course of the next couple of days. Pinterest has so many fun Easter egg dying ideas. You can check many out on my Easter Pinterest Board here.
3. Candy-or-money-filled Easter Egg hunt. All the kids and teenagers would go to a local park while the Easter Bunny came. When the kids got back the little kids started first and would begin collecting the eggs. All the kids would be let loose to collect a few minutes apart (youngest to oldest) until finally, the teenagers could go. They were directed to collect the hard to find and high-up eggs (typically filled with some money and candy).
4. Easter Baskets. Easter Sunday we would awake with an Easter basket outside our bedroom. There are tons of different ideas on how to make an Easter basket whether it is non-candy, theme-based, candy, or just a smorgasbord of things. You can even buy nonperishable Easter Baskets the year before after Easter for a few dollars.
