Elf on the Shelf: Sledding on the Christmas Tree.

We have a Santa-themed Christmas tree and most of the ornaments are red, white and green. Our Elf on the Shelf, Pepper, was on a sled in the branches of our Christmas Tree this particular day.

So, he was camouflaged well and was hard to find. We were looking all over in our house for him.

It was a cute place to hide!

How to Set up This Elf on the Shelf: Sledding on the Christmas Tree

Pepper took a sled that I had. I have about five of them that I had picked up at Dollar Tree months ago. I was thinking of making a craft with them but hadn’t gotten around to it yet. So he used one of the sleds and he fastened himself to it.

He made a seat belt/fasten using two wire ornament hooks. He simply wrapped it around his waist and through the sled and attached it together under the sled.

Pepper’s arms hooked together around the sled rope and he stuck himself on our Christmas tree with all our Santa ornaments.

He blended in pretty well so it was somewhat like a where’s Waldo scene.

I would think that this Elf on the Shelf: Sledding on the Christmas Tree display is great when an Elf on the Shelf is running late back home from the North Pole and needs something creative to do in a pinch.
