Formal 4th of July Dinner Tablescape

Usually the 4th of July is associated with informal BBQs and get togethers; for the 250th Independence Day I wanted to do a formal dinner tablescape to celebrate this landmark holiday.

I placed a flag banner from Pottery Barn down the center of the table as the table runner.

I used my china, crystal goblets, silverware and linen napkins to make this a formal tablescape.

I arranged red carnations and white roses in a red vase and set it in the center of the table for a formal focal point.

I tied old-school-America-themed material to the back of the dinning chairs to add interest to the tablescape.

I folded the linen napkins into a triangle.

It is a nod to how American flags are folded.

I loved this detail—not only do the linen napkins look formal, they are on point with the theme.

I used all items I had on hand except the flowers which were less than $25.00.

So, this formal tablescape came together in about 25 minutes for less than 25 dollars
