We had the best Halloween this year. I was feeling really crazy-good, not a common thing these days, and my kids were also healthy and happy as well.
My daughter Amelia was a little lioness she is awesome and loved Trick-or-Treating.
She especially liked the creepy houses, so we drove around and found a few.
When we got home she drew some creppy drawings that had me laughing out loud!
Translation: Do Not Touch or else I will cut off your hands
We found a house with a baby in a high chair with a knife and these tall ghosts and witch statues and it said do not touch and there were hands that had been cut off under the sign.
She is so funny.
My son, was a Minecraft Crepper and he also loved Trick-or-Treating! He would actually look at the candies he was going to pick from and ask the host to shuffle it around and dig out a specific one.
Since he’s five, it was just cute for everyone…but one house he completely declined because he hates Reeses and SourPatch Kids. It was at this point I let him know the polite thing was just to take one and we’d have him do a trade with his sister afterwards.
Haha, he’s so cute!
My older two were with their dad this year but my daughter dressed in her costume for a Halloween party she was going to while at our house and she was a “perfect Eleven”… from Stranger Things.
My son was Grover from Seseame Street and he said his teachers all like his costume. For privacy I won’t post his photo—he’s at that age where it is no longer a fun thing to be pictured on blogs. Here is a stock photo…
The kids got quite a few full-sized candy bars which is the thing in this area to rave about and to tell other Trick-or-Treaters where to go to find them.
They are at that perfect age, 5 & 7 when it is just so much fun and they have the stamina to run and run! I drove them around once it got a little later and they had so much fun!
When we got home, my son kept trying to Trick-or-Treat me by holding the same candies behind his back in each hand and saying pick a hand. I would pick and it would be something like a Twizzler and then I’d pick the other and it would be another Twizzler and we’d laugh because he was a tricker (holding the same candy in each arm) and a treater (he’d give me both treats)!
The kids loved it and said it was the BEST Halloween EVER!
