Autumnal Front Door Decor

Autumnal Front Door Decor

There are many ways to use the outdoor plants, flowers and trees to create inexpensive wreaths and front door decorations.

Using reeds and fall weeds is one of my favorite ways to decorate.

This is my autumnal Thanksgiving front door decor this year (2026).

It was very easy and inexpensive to put together.

I already had the copper planters full of sand and rocks.

I made this wreath a few years ago.

Tutorial here. So I had it and the door wreath hanger on hand. All I had to do was dig it out of storage and hang it on my door.

I got a few pumpkins from Costco and a few were brought home from Cornbellys.

The stalks of grass were cut out at Utah Lake.

A few years I did a much more robust version of this autumnal front door decor.

I cut many down and gathered fescue and other weeds but this year, I am just keeping things simple and easy.

Fall Autumn Arrangement

If you want to do something even more elaborate, check out this post.

Out at Utah lake, I only cut about 15 ish stalks for each planter and gathered a few white reed looking weeds. It took all of 10 minutes (plus the drive).

It is much more simplistic than that last time I did this type of fall door decor but I really like it just as well.

I layered rugs that I had on hand. That’s it!

So total were just a few pumpkins—making this autumnal front door decor cost less than $35.00.

I just love fall colors, don’t you!
