Neighbor Christmas Gift: Ribbon Candy.
Sevigny’s Candy began in Massachusetts In the mid-20th century.
One of the only manufacturers of Ribbon Candy in the United States, Sevigny’s invented an air-activated automatic cutter to create the batches and cut the ribbons into individual pieces at pre-determined intervals.
This production innovation has led Sevigny’s to be one of the world’s premiere manufacturers of the beautiful, wavy, and delicate Ribbon Candy you know and love.
It is a very traditional Christmas candy, especially among those who are a bit older. I’d call it a nostalgic Christmas treat.
The colors make it a gorgeous gift—if presented well.
I think the presentation in a white box with a clear lid beats the presentation in which I bought it. I do understand that they package these carefully so they do not break.
When delivering to neighbors you do not have to be as cautious.
So even if I chose to afford to gift an entire box to each neighbor for Christmas, I’d prefer to package it as I have here with a white box and clear lid—as it is so much prettier!

1- Place 3 candy ribbon strands in a white charcuterie box (linked to above), put the lid on, and place a mini Christmas wrapping bow in the corner on top.
If you add a little bow or ribbon on the outside of the box, I’d recommend matching it to one of the colors within the candy ribbons. Color matching will make the gift look cohesive and more beautiful.
That’s it.
It is so simple, beautiful, nostalgic for many, and delicious.
Merry Christmas.
