Neighbor Christmas Gift: Whipped Symphony Chocolate Truffles.

I tasted these whipped Symphony chocolate truffles years ago; they were so good that despite not having the recipe, I kept searching the internet for an idea of how to make them until finally, I found a close version of the recipe I had tasted.

I have since made them a few times and improved upon the recipe until I feel like they are what I had and enjoyed so long ago.

These truffles are great. They are fluffy, slightly sweet, and have a bit of a crunch from the toffee and almond bits.

They are so easy to make.

They take about 15-20 minutes to make almost 50. This does not include cooling time if you choose to cool them before rolling.

All they require is three ingredients and two bowls.

One bowl for mixing and one for rolling.

These make great neighbor gifts as they are inexpensive, a unique recipe, delicious, and quick to make.

Continue reading and/or watch the video on this page that shows how to make these truffles.

1- Assemble the boxes so that they are ready to fill and sprinkle graham cracker crumbs or Nilla Wafer crumbs into the bottom of the box.

2- Melt 3 4.25 oz bars of Symphony almond toffee milk chocolate in the microwave.

3- Mix the chocolate slowly with the hand mixer and add 8 oz of cool whip. Continue mixing on slow until the Cool Whip is well incorporated.

4- See notes on whether to allow the mixture to set/cool or not before rolling.

5- Roll about 1 TBSP truffle into the graham cracker or Nilla cookie crumbs. Note- My husband suggested that I make them a little smaller than pictured as according to him they are very good but pretty sweet.

Because of the Cool Whip, it is best to keep these refrigerated and do not leave these on doorsteps of neighbors unless the temperature is cool-cold.

Notes

When these are a little warmer they are harder to get to hold their shape. A workaround is to allow them to cool slightly. Once they start to set up/hold their shape when rolled, roll them. Or you can roll them as I did quickly while they are still warm and then place them in the fridge and freezer. Then, roll them again for them to hold a nice round shape.
