I ran to Target for some storage bins yesterday and I had to check out the Thanksgiving clearance section.
I found the following items for 50% off and came home and put them on our dining room table for a cute and festive look.
I fell in love with these white turtle doves in the winter section (not 50% off yet).
I thought they went well and tied in the Birds of a Feather Thanksgiving Mantel I did this year.
I like when things in the same room correspond.
Sometimes that makes decorating open concept floor plans difficult, but when I can, I like to tie the seasonal decor together.
To start I put down items I had on hand. Our china, crystal goblets, tweed placemats from a previous Thanksgiving and a crocheted tablecloth.
I used flatware I save for hosting and was original bought years ago.
I got 2 small candle holder wreaths and put those at both heads of the table.
They were $6.00 each with the 50% off discount.
I found these wicker pumpkins and vase in the clearance section and put those in a grouping as the centerpiece.
I added a few salt and pepper shakers (granite and wood).
And finally, I got out a little distressed pumpkin and put that in the grouping as well.
It only took about 30 minutes from start to finish and cost about $90 as the pumpkins, wreaths, birds and vase were all purchased new from Target.
It was one of those lucky clearance days that I love so much.
I can’t wait to use these two white turtle doves in my Christmas decor this year!
Happy Thanksgiving
