Elf on the Shelf: Oh There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays
We were going to leave to Hawaii for a family vacation that we had planned for about a year. We hadn’t traveled for a long time together and the kids were very excited!
Unfortunately a few days before we left, the kids picked up some illnesses at school. We had to cancel and rebook for spring.
They were pretty devastated!
Pepper, our Elf on the Shelf, tried to cheer them up by leaving this cute, “Oh There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays Display” for them.
Check out the video to see the details in a different medium.
Pepper, the Elf on the Shelf, looked so cozy and comfy in his Elf-shoe-bed.
He was reading one of my son’s favorite Christmas books, “The Polar Express”.
My daughter loved the detail on the front and back of the book, including how he was wearing little reading glasses.
Pepper also had a reading lamp that arched above his bed to help illuminate his book.
Pepper Mint left a note for the kids that said, “Oh there’s no place like HOME for the HOLIDAYS…for the holidays you can’t beat HOME SWEET HOME!”
Next to that, he had a cute little hobby horse leaning next to his bed. It was also full of darling details
He had a cozy fire going…
with a stocking and garland hung from the mantel.
He hung a wreath from the lamp
and decorated a mini sisal tree.
The mini mantel tree looks like he may have gotten hot glue everywhere putting in little ornaments or maybe he wanted the strands to represent tinsel.
He also had a larger Christmas tree decked out with ornaments and tinsel
and he topped the tree with a white glitter star. The Christmas tree star appeared to have been made with cardboard, hot glue and glitter.
There were mini presents surrounding the Christmas Tree.
I loved all of the cute little details that Pepper put into this display.
