This Easy and Practical Hot Cocoa Bar was a hit at our recent family party.
My seven year old, Aurora, is so darling. She just loves decorating, crafting, and helping me set up for parties. She set up this Easy and Practical Hot Cocoa Bar all by herself.
I wanted to post it because she did such a great job.
While this easy and practical hot cocoa bar could have had a lot of additional add-ons, I love how simple, quick, easy and practical the hot cocoa bar is. It only took a few minutes and offers a lot of flavors and options for the time it took to set up.
We have a lot of different Stephen’s Hot Cocoa because he lives in our neighborhood and we love their family. So, I try to only buy Stephen’s. I do think its the best hot cocoa mix as well as their family being the best!
We have the following flavors: Stephen’s Cookies and Cream hot cocoa, S’mores Cocoa, Candycane Cocoa, Peanut Butter Cup Cocoa.
We also have the milk chocolate hot cocoa, salted caramel cocoa, roasted hazelnut, and chocolate mint hot cocoa.
My grandma just gave me this cute red sleigh.
My daughter lined it with plastic wrap and put mini marshmallows and candy canes in the sled.
I had ordered 2 boxes of flip-top mugs from Dollar Tree in preparation for my son’s sledding birthday party. They have really good reviews on the website and were of course only $1.00 each!
So, my daughter put out 16 (the number of guests we had for our family party).
My husband got a huge bag of Utah Truffles during a white elephant game we had a few days ago so I put those truffles in a Dollar Tree Christmas tin and set those out—they are delicious!
Aurora also added stir sticks to help get the cocoa mixed in.
She choose to place this all on the Dollar Tree candy cane table cloth we had; I think it was a great choice.
Our guests got hot water or hot milk from the kitchen which was right next to this table, choose their flavor and added however much mix they wanted. They used the stir sticks and added marshmallows or candy canes if desired.
They got to keep the mugs and can reuse them.
I love hot chocolate and the mixing’s.
We could have added additional items to make this bar more robust but there were already so many flavors in the hot cocoa mixes themselves, the only other things I had wished we had added were whipping cream and Stroopwaffles.

While making a hot cocoa bar with a lot of different add-ins is great, I love how simple, easy and practical this hot cocoa bar was to put together. It only took a few minutes and has a lot of flavor options for the time it took to set up.
