Elf on the Shelf: Jurassic Scene.
Our elves left us a pretty fun scene today.
They must know that my two-year-old is obsessed with dinosaurs!
My daughter received this Barbie helicopter for her birthday present this summer and our elves, Pepper and Winter made great use of it.
With the jeep waiting for them to land
and the Jurassic logos, it seems as though they may have been trying to recreate this scene from Jurassic Park.
They are apparently part-time employees at Jurassic World and dapper-dressers at that.
Pepper had a, “I work with Dinos” shirt and
a Jurrasic hat on.
Winter had a Jurassic handbag,
a dress with dino print,
and a hoodie that says I love Dinosaurs, and
she was also sporting a dino fanny pack.
Enough of the fashion highlights, let’s move on to the real stars of the show…
There were dinosaurs everywhere around this scene…
Some were pretty easy to see
and others, not so much…

It was a super fun Elf on the Shelf day and my kids couldn’t get enough of looking at it and playing with the dinosaurs.
Supply List for this Elf on the Shelf: Jurassic Scene
A lot of plants, most are real, some fake.
Elf on the shelf x 2
Jurassic World Barbie clothing I believe two sets were used.
Boom/tripod thing that my husband invented for me to film with.
hot glue just a dab for the hat on Pepper’s head
Jurassic World tabs taped onto the helicopter and Jeep. I think these came from the Jurassic World Barbie clothing packaging.
Floral wire in silver to attach the helicopter to the boom arm
In the morning I put poster boards that went behind the scene in green, white, and light green.
How our elves put together this Elf on the Shelf: Jurassic Scene:
1- They gathered all the plants around our home both real and fake and set them up near and around the boom/arm/stand that my husband made me for me to photograph recipes, crafts, etc.
2- They set out dinosaurs, the Jeep, and taped the Jurassic World logo to the helicopter and Jeep.
3- They put on their outfits and got into the helicopter, placing their hands in the control joy sticks.
4- Using floral wire they attached the helicopter to the boom/arm.
It looks like it took them about 30-45 minutes to set up.
In the morning I placed backboards up to get better photographs.
It was worth it though. My 11-year-old said that this was his favorite day with the elves so far. My toddlers played with the dinosaurs and plants/dirt for hours.
The elves made use of items that we had in and around the house.
The only thing that was new to my kids were the Jurassic outfits they were wearing.
What a fun day with our Elf on the Shelf Jurassic Scene.
