Elf on the Shelf: Nutcracker Scene.
Our elves got into the Christmas spirit today by setting up this cute Nutcracker scene.
The Mouse King was there, with his scepter and robe.
He had his mice sidekicks with him.
They were in a battle with the nutcracker
The stately nutcracker had his sword.
and Fitz’ toy soldiers were there.
They were protecting Clara
and trying to keep the mice at bay.
The fierce mouse king was about to succeed in fighting the nutcracker
When Clara (our elf Winter) knocked him out cold.
The mice scurried to carry him away.
Supplies I think our elves used for this Elf on the Shelf: Nutcracker Scene
Pepper- The Mouse King was wearing a green velvet with white fur trim Santa pants (from a larger Santa figurine) turned into legging pants for the Elf on the Shelf freeze stand and a cloak
He had a scepter he stole from one of our nutcrackers
He cut the head off one of the mouse ornaments we had around the house and made a mask that was hot glued onto the scarf to avoid. I bought these after Christmas for $4.00 for the set.

The Nutcracker: A Pop-Up Book by Nick Denchfield Luckily I found this at a thrift store and didn’t pay retail for it!
Directions on how our elves set up this Elf on the Shelf: Nutcracker Scene
Continue Reading and/or watch the video to see more details of this scene.
1- First they set out the Nutcracker table runner on our side table.
2- They opened up the The Nutcracker: A Pop-Up Book by Nick Denchfield to the scene when the mouse king and the nutcracker are fighting.
3- They set out the nutcracker and mini nutcrackers and the mice.
4- Pepper got into this hipster freeze frame and donned his green robe from last year’s Scrooge, A Christmas Carol scene.
5- Pepper took the scepter from an extra nutcracker we had in the home and with a dab of hotglue and leaning it against his freeze fram is managing to hold it.
6- They cut up one of the mice heads with a crown from our mouse collection and made it into a mask. They used the mouse’s scarf to hot glue it around the neck and glued the mask onto it.
7- Winter got into her freeze ballerina frame and hopped into the scene as well.
It looks like this took about 20-30 minutes because Pepper’s robe was previously made last year and saved for a scene like this.
It was a fun Elf on the Shelf: Nutcracker Scene.
