My daughter just went through a MAJOR growth spurt. She went from a size 3 months to size 6 months being snug, so really from size 3 months to 9 months and from a size 2 diaper to size 4 in just a few weeks. Although I have tons of 9 month pants, shorts, skirts, and shoes I needed 9 month onsies and PJs for her.
I had planned on going garage selling for 9 month onsies and PJs but it has been raining nonstop and the garage sales have been few and far between. So on Memorial Day I swung by Savers for their 50% off sale. I walked in and found about 15 size nine onsies, 4 PJ’s and a darling dress. The total came to $24.97 for 20 items—most of which were brand new!
I was so happy with my haul at Savers! And because everything was so well organized I was only in the store for about 10 minutes!
Savers has two different amazing money saving discounts where you can get from 30-50% off of their already low thrift store prices!
1- If you take in 5-6 grocery sized plastic bags (depending on location) full of clothes to donate, you will receive a coupon for 30% off your entire shopping trip.
2- You can shop there major holiday weekends and receive 50% off of most of the items sold there. Memorial Day, President’s Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, and Black Friday are just a few of their sale days.
Another tip is to know exactly what you need, go to that section, get the items, and then check out. It is very easy to overspend and over buy at thrift stores. Writing a list beforehand and sticking to it will help you stay on budget.
If you are wondering if there is a Savers near you check out their website for locations.

I have a newborn grandson who is growing at a very fast rate. I am going to check out this store, to pick us some things for him. I will bring a bag or two to donate as well.

I had no idea about the plastic bag thing! That's such a good deal! Thanks for these tips! And Little A went from size 2 diapers to size 4 pretty fast, too! They grow so fast!
