These darling little wooden bowls and wooden spoons filled with cinnamon sugar would make a great neighbor’s gift for Christmas.

I love that they are miniature because not only do they look cute, they will fit easily in a cabinet.

These are great gifts as they are very easy to make.

You just mix 1 TBSP ground cinnamon (~7g) with 1 Cup of white sugar (~210g), fill the bowls (that amount will fill about 5 of these bowls), and then wrap with cellophane and ribbon.

They only take a minute or two to make and are inexpensive (the cost breakdown is below).

If the recipient doesn’t love cinnamon sugar, they can replace it with regular table sugar or salt, pepper or any other spices they prefer.

These little wooden bowls would also go great on charcuterie boards.

I chose to fill these bowls with cinnamon sugar as it is widely liked and has many uses.

It’s great on waffles, rolls, bacon, toast, in yogurt, and is even great in whipping cream.

You can sprinkle it on apples—both fresh and baked, top pancakes or waffles with it, use it to make snickerdoodle cookies, and put it in oatmeal or on a tortilla.

I made a free printable (the download link is in the supply list below) to go with this gift.

The printable has a little graphic of a wooden spoon pouring cinnamon into a wooden bowl full of sugar.

It says, ” Just a Spoonful of Cinnamon Sugar… Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on buttered toast, bacon, waffles, apples, oatmeal, and/or yogurt.  Merry Christmas”.

Instructions on how to prepare this Neighbor Christmas Gift Just a Spoonful of Cinnamon Sugar

Continue reading and/or watch the video on this page.

1- Make the cinnamon sugar by stirring together 1 TBSP ground cinnamon (~7g) with 1 Cup of white sugar (~210g); this will fill about 5 of these bowls.

2- Spoon the cinnamon sugar into the wooden bowls each holds about 1.2-1.5 oz of sugar.

3- Cover each bowl with saran wrap and pull it taut so that the top and sides are nice looking without too many ripples. Carefully cut excess saran wrap off the bottom and fold what remains nicely on the bottom of the bowl so it stands straight and doesn’t lean.

4- Take ribbon 1 1/2″ wide and tie it on the top of the bowl once and then loosely tie a double knot. Keep it loose.

5- Slip in the wooden spoon in and then tighten the double knot. Tie it once more—a total of three ties.

6- Trim the ribbon and manipulate it to look nice.

7- Print off the free printable, cut it out and tape it to the saran wrap.

That’s it.
