My youngest two children are really into Frozen right now.
Amelia even begged me for a Frozen party—which I threw for her birthday recently.
Amelia wanted to be Elsa and Brighton said he wanted to be Olaf so Aurora said she’d be Anna.
As you can see, Olaf wasn’t exactly excited to wear his costume.
Aurora and I tried just about everything to get him to wear it and he just didn’t want to.
I’m glad I got a few photos when he was in it, even if Aurora’s hair was only half done and Brighton was clawing his costume off in the photos.
Despite the disheveled look, they are pretty cute together.
My girls were so sweet.
They loved being costume sisters.
My two-year-old, Brighton, only kept his costume on for a few minutes… so I turned him into a lumberjack using clothing that I knew he was comfortable in…
He looked pretty cute as a lumberjack and once the Olaf costume was off he cheered up considerably.
I wished I could’ve gotten my older son, Denali, to dress up as Kristoff or Sven but he was too cool for our family costume this year.
He wanted to join his friends at school in being taken by aliens.
I loved his costume and am glad he got to be what he wanted to be.
Frozen Sibling Costumes Supply List + alien
Olaf Disney costume (I purchased ours on Ebay for $20+$5 shipping). This costume was rejected so I turned Bri Bri to a lumberjack with clothing that we had on hand.
Elsa Costume (I purchased this on Temu) we actually had this already and this is a re-use. It was her birthday present for her birthday party. We had the aqua under t-shirt and her sparkle shoes
Anna costume (we borrowed this from our next-door neighbor) we also had the boots.
The white hair insert was made using white thread a clear rubber band to hold the thread together and some bobby pins.
Boy held hostage by alien costume (purchased adult size on Temu for $20.00)
Total paid for Halloween costumes this year $45.00
We had a GREAT Halloween!
The kids had an awesome time at our church Halloween party,
they loved the school parade,
we had a blast at our neighborhood trunk-or-treat,
and they finished Halloween off strong by exchanging candy with each other at night.
Brighton just gave Amelia a favorite candy…
We hope you had a happy Halloween as well!
Even though my oldest has now outgrown the family costume scene, I am so glad that up until last year I was able to dress him up as part of a family group costume.
I hope my younger kids will continue dressing in family costume sets for at least a few more years as I get a kick out of themed costumes!
I have a lot of Halloween costume posts. These are either ideas that I have rounded up from other creative people or costumes I have made or put together.
Check out the family group costumes, toddler and baby costumes, couples costumes, and little kid costumes in the posts below.
