This is how my children and I decorated our front porch for Halloween this year.

We went with a black, white, and orange theme using bats.

I love switching up my Halloween front door decor.

This year, I chose an effortless design since I had a lot going on.

I purchased orange pumpkins from a local grocery store and set those out.

I used medium and small sized pumpkins.

I reused this Halloween doormat that my daughter and I painted/made last year. If you want to make a similar doormat, you can get the video tutorial for this Haunted House Halloween doormat here.

I left the fall leaves and other branches and twigs that had blown onto my porch for a more festive feel.

I layered a black mat with a  3′ x 5′ Black&White Check Indoor/Outdoor Area Rug from Amazon and then placed the coir handmade mat on top.

I added long white pampas grass stems from World Market in tall planters. There are three large white stems in each planter.

My daughter and I took black bat clips from Dollar Tree, and clipped them into the pampas grass in both planters.

We also made a white and black wreath using a pampas grass wreath. The tutorial is coming soon.

My daughters love to help me decorate. I find it fun to include them.

I like how the bats look like they are flying on this wreath and on the pampas grass.

The white and black contrast is excellent for a wreath and planters; one can see the bats from pretty far away.

It only took about 20 minutes to assemble this front door decor. Its total cost was about $70.00 (the rug and pumpkins were $60 alone). I reused many other items. The bat clips were bought for $10 at Dollar Tree.
