Elf on the Shelf: Kitty Cat Yoga

To say my daughter is into kitty cats is an understatement.

She really, really likes kittens!

Today Pepper Mint and Winter Mint our Elf on the Shelf sibling duo decided they’d do yoga in the dollhouse in my daughter’s kitty cat room.

I know that goat yoga was the thing to do… I guess for our Elf on the Shelf sibling duo, Kitty Cat Yoga is trending now.

Or maybe it’s just that they know my daughter loves cats and kittens and wanted to make her day.

I did Google it and found that cat yoga is actually something people do. Some shelters even hold cat yoga classes to help find the felines homes.

Some people who take the class end up taking home a cat or kitten as well.

When I Googled cat yoga I saw this image and it reminded me of Winter.

So funny!

When we were decorating my daughter’s room, we made it a cat/kitten theme.

Unfortunately, I haven’t posted the before and after it yet.

However, in it, there is a dollhouse, and also in her room, we have framed images of cats doing yoga.

Don’t you just love the Siamese cat in the bottom right corner of the photo below?

Our elves made use of the yoga kitten and yoga cat photos and framed images and set a lot of them in the dollhouse.

Then Pepper and Winter also joined in with the cats and began doing yoga.

You can find the typical items you’d need for a yoga class like a mat and some music.

However, there are also cat items as well

Pepper is doing a downward dog pose which is a bit ironic considering his environment

and Winter is taking a bit of a safer route and is going with the side plank.

Both have been joined by some kitty cats…

Which my kids and I found rather funny.

One of our Yoga mats was cut down a bit and that portion that was cut off was cut to the elves’ size—thank you elves… just kidding it was only a few bucks.

How I think our elves set up this scene, Elf on the Shelf: Kitty Cat Yoga

1- They cut our yoga mat (it’s a cheap one I got for a few dollars) down to their size.

2- They got Amelia’s Yoga Cat calendar and Yoga Kittens calendar and all the framed images and cut-out images we made to decorate her kitty cat bedroom and put them inside her dollhouse.

3- Pepper went into a downward dog pose and a Barbie kitten got right on his back.

4- Winter put on her ballerina freeze frame and is using a workout step to do a modified side plank another Barbie kitten sat on top of her hip. A dab or two of hot glue may have been needed for this pose.

5- They also added a little boombox and duffle bag, cat tree, and other cat misc. supplies to set the scene a bit more.

That’s it. This scene looks like it took about 20-30 minutes to set up.
