This year to decorate for Thanksgiving, I put together this Harvest Mantel.
Supply List for Harvest Mantel
Sisal animals large and small: Fox, Squirrel, owl, hedgehog, baby fox, and baby hedgehogs or baby hedgehogs here
wood bead garland (natural wood) at least 2 feet longer than your mantel
2 fall DIY flower arrangements
decorative pumpkins (gold, silver, white, brown, orange) or here
mini straw bales 2.5″x2.5″x5″ I bought 2 packs of 3 bales from Joann’s Bloom Room Harvest collection (I can’t find a link for the exact ones I bought)
I love sisal animals. I was able to find a few of these from local stores for my kid’s Thanksgiving tablescape last year.
This year I added to my sisal animal collection by buying a cute pack of sisal animals. It has the baby fox, owl, and hedgehog in the collection.
I also used pumpkins from my Thanksgiving tablescape last year: white, orange, and silver/gold.
I made these Fall flower arrangements and added one to each end of our wood mantel.
Then I got these little mini straw bails and added baby hedgehogs to them.
Aren’t these hedgehogs just the cutest!
I was debating back and forth about what type of banner/garland to use. I wanted to maybe make one and I wanted to be creative. So I was thinking of a lot of different ideas of garland I could make.
Since I wasn’t thinking of anything I loved and I had this 9ft natural wood beaded garland in my craft bin I decided to try it out. I loved the look! It blends perfectly and has a harvest feel.
I absolutely love decorating. This mantel was just so fun to put together and my kids love the animals. I hope this helps you put together a Harvest mantel in your home as well!
I have a little blogging tradition where I like to include a few things I’m thankful for in a Thanksgiving post, so…
I am very grateful for my freedoms; the freedom of speech, religion, assembly, etc. I am grateful for my children, husband, family, friends, home, and readers of my blog. I am grateful for my Savior and His Gospel. I am grateful for faith and prayer that have enriched my life and bring me peace. I am also grateful for the ability to work hard, to donate to those in need, and to find joy in serving others.
These are just a few things I am thankful for this year (2020).
Thank you for stopping by to see my Harvest Mantel. Happy Thanksgiving,
