Audiobooks I Listened to in January 2023
I love listening to good audiobooks as it makes days that are full of the monotony of laundry, cleaning, errand running, and diaper changing so much more enjoyable.
In 2022, I listened to over 250 audiobooks. If interested you can click the link to see which ones I read last year.
In the future, I’m going to post the books I listen to each month or every other month.
Posting the audiobooks I listen to helps me keep track of the books I’ve read and which ones I’ve liked.
I found quite a few really good audiobooks and re-listened to many books I previously read in January 2023.
While I don’t really have a goal of how many audiobooks to read/listen to each month or year, I do have a goal to keep listening to books when I can.
As mentioned, listening to audiobooks helps me do boring tasks like laundry, dishes, etc. without getting bored also, I learn quite a bit as I go about my day so it’s definitely something that has a positive influence on me.
Also, I usually listen to them at 2X speed to get through more content.
The books in bold that I link to are the books that I’d highly recommend reading/listening to.
- Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson— I listened to the dramatized version of this one and it kept me very entertained. No wonder this is a true classic!
- Better than a Box of Chocolates by Emily March — This is a pretty good short romance.
- Serendipity by Melanie La’Brooy
- The Choice: Embrace the Possible by Dr. Edith Eva Eger— Dr. Egaer is a Holocaust concentration camp survivor who truly changed and continues to change the world.
- Helen’s Big World: The Life of Helen Keller by Doreen Rappaport and Matt Tavares
- Enders Game (dramatized version) by Orson Scott Card
- The Pilgrim Hypothesis by Timothy Ballard
Series of Books:
The Divergent Series by Veronica Roth
- Divergent
- Insurgent
- Allegiant (of course, you’ll want to finish the series but this book was unfortunately a letdown).
- Four
Enola Holmes Series by Nancy Springer
This is such a fun series. Netflix turned it into a TV series and so far, despite a few twists and changes, they’ve done such a great job with it.
- The Case of the Missing Marquess (2006)
- The Case of the Left-Handed Lady (2007)
- The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets (2008)
- The Case of the Peculiar Pink Fan (2008)
- The Case of the Cryptic Crinoline (2009)
- The Case of the Gypsy Goodbye (2010)
- Enola Holmes and the Boy in Buttons (2021)
- Enola Holmes and the Black Barouche (2021)
The Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins
- Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes This is a prequel to the Hunger Games series and is very well written. I have read that they may be turning it into a movie).
- Hunger Games
- Catching Fire
- Mockingjay
Anne of Green Gables Series by Lucy Maud Montgomery narrated by Beth Kesler
I love this series. I fell in love with these books when I was a girl and it was so fun to revisit them last month.
- Anne of Green Gables
- Anne of Avonlea
- Anne of the Islands
- Anne’s House of Dreams
- Rainbow Valley
- Rilla of Ingleside
I like to share the audiobooks I listen to each month to keep track of them.
