Christmas Neighbor Gift Bonne Maman Preserves
Items that are small are often viewed as very cute and/or more desirable than their full-sized counterparts. I feel that way about these mini Bonne Maman Preserves jars.
They are just so darling!
Plus, they come in a variety of flavors that are hard to find—if not impossible to find in full-sized jars sold at grocery stores.
Many flavors are reserved and released only for the popular Bonne Maman advent calendars.
If you have never had Bonne Maman preserves you need to try them. They are so delicious!
The preserves are made with clean ingredients in France and taste heavenly on scones (I only use this brand for my tea parties), on toast, with bread, and spread on rolls.
I have even used Bonne Maman preserves as filling for cake and petit fours.
Since they are so delicious, cute in these mini jars, and festive, I thought that these advent mini preserve jars paired with a nice wooden spoon would be a darling neighbor gift.
Although Bonne Maman preserves are typically a little pricey, when I did the math these gifts came in around $1.70-$1.90 each.
I bought multiple calendars and had them shipped to me for free. They arrived in perfect condition as the jars are well packaged inside the calendars–it would take a lot for them to break in normal transit.
My daughter and I had fun opening them and prepping them as well—especially because each jar only took a minute to prepare.
While it is a little anti-climatic opening all 24 days of an advent calendar in a few minutes, this is the only way I was able to find these mini jars in these flavors and at a reasonable price point.

Advent calendars with 23 flavors of preserves
The best price that you can find these at is at Sam’s Club and Costco. They have the 12 Day advent calendars for $16.00= $1.33 a jar. This was about the cheaper than what I found them for on Simply Gourmand. I went with Simply Gourmand because I was worried they were sold out at my clubs. I saw them a few days later still in stock so if I were to do this again I’d just buy at Costco. However, I did get a great deal online. At Simply Gourmand the calendars were $44.99 with a 20% off coupon = $35.99 with free shipping. I bought the calendars with a coupon and free shipping for 36 for the 24 jars = $1.49 a jar.
Total is = $1.84 if you purchase the 24-Day advent calendars if purchased for $36.00
Total is = $1.68 if you purchase the advent calendars at Costco and/or Sam’s Club in-store for $16.00 for 12 jars.
