Our elves were dressed in darling outfits reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens today.
They left my daughter and I tickets (a gift from her grandparents) to A Christmas Carol production at Hale Center Theater in Sandy, Utah.
When my daughter found the tickets she was screaming with excitement.
We had such a wonderful time at the play that day.
A Christmas Carol was so well performed!
How I think our elves set up this Elf on the Shelf: Dickens scene
You can watch the video to see the details closer up.
They got on their Victorian Era clothing
(the best of their ability to find),
grabbed a copy of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
and a lamp to help read the words with at night.
and they were reading the story when we found them that morning.
Then they left tickets to, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens for my daughter and I.
I made the tickets which I gave to them so that all of the details were correct and so that my daughter was sure to know that it was a Christmas present from her grandparents.
Our family loves A Christmas Carol.
I try to re-read it every year.
In 2022, our elves did this darling A Christmas Carol Elf on the Shelf Scene.
So today was a fun version of a Dickens scene without repeating what they had done beforehand.
Items I think our elves needed to set up this Elf on the Shelf: Dickens scene
Top hat (Ashland snowman pick from Michaels)
bottle sweater (World Market) Pepper turned it around backwards
print out of front cover and center of A Christmas Carol (printed out about 15% scale)
Lamp (from a Christmas Santa figurine- Michaels 2021)
Barbie doll stand (Winter is using one instead of a freeze stand)
Barbie Crocheted dress white with holy leaves and berries. This came from a Barbie that my grandma gave me. Your elf may be able to find a white crocheted dress for Barbie on Ebay, Mercari, and Etsy and add holly.
Red Scarf- also came off of a doll but its just red material.
Thanks, Pepper Mint and Winter Mint. Merry Christmas!
