Elf on the Shelf: Snow Tubing.
This morning I was awaken by my daughter frantically looking for our elves.
She could not find Pepper Mint or Winter Mint our Elf on the Shelf elves.
I didn’t know where they could be but since she had searched the entire house and didn’t find them I remembered that this had happened last year when they went ice climbing in my bathroom.
Sure enough, she found them in my bathroom.
But this time they weren’t climbing, they were snow tubing.
I love that they look like they are having a blast.
There was also real-looking snow in our bathtub. I’m not exactly sure what they used but I do think it was similar to what my daughter likes to use for slime-making, the instant snow.
It was a fun scene and I think we need to go snow tubing as a family sometime!
They have snow tubing courses in Utah where we live and I’ve been hankering to go to one for years. Once my kids are a little older I think we will try one as a family.
They had a blast using donut tubes and wet faux snow to sled with—Pepper even has his arms in the sky.

Pepper and Winter put on their beanies that are “no-sew” tutorial here.
I think Pepper was sitting in his tube just fine and required little assistance to stay put all day. All his donut tube needed was just a dab of hot glue on the tub—which will come off just fine.
I know that hot glue comes off tubs as they used hot glue for their snowboarding the half pipe day and it came off no problem at all.
Winter needed the basket of shampoo and conditioner to anchor the illusion cord that is holding her in her tube. her tube also needed a little hot glue. She folded her legs into the tube which kept her leaning back ever so slightly which just added to the scene indicating motion.
That’s it. This Elf on the Shelf: Snow Tubing scene was so fun and it looked like it was pretty easily put together— although it did require about 30 minutes to get the illusion cord and snow all set.
