Elf on the Shelf: An Electric Birthday.
My son recently had a birthday and our elves celebrated it in an ‘electric’ way.
They were wearing some seriously cool-looking 3D glasses.
and they had their retro 80’s Tees on.
They brought my son some bendable pencils
that write and
Minecraft stickers.
They left him a note that said, “Happy Birthday Denali. You R Rad! Please share stickers and pencils with siblings”.
I like that they thought of our other kids and made sure the expectation was that everyone would share the bendable pencils and stickers.
Last time they celebrated my son’s birthday with cupcakes that everyone shared as well.
My daughter said she was sad that they were never here for her birthday.
I explained that sometimes life isn’t fair… but they always bring things for everyone.
Pepper Mint and Winter Mint, our elves, set up right next to what I left out for my son for his birthday.
My husband and I bought him a bodyboard for a trip we are going on soon.
and we left him a ‘squishy’ that is in the shape of a Prime bottle—his favorite drink.
I had a standup balloon that my mom brought over and I have since passed on to another neighbor (many of these balloons last for a long time).
and I wrote him a card expressing our love and gratitude for him and wishing him a happy birthday.
Our Elf on the Shelf sibling duo, Pepper Mint, and Winter Mint, decided to ‘piggyback’ off of my presents/display that I left out for my son’s birthday and they joined in the gift-giving.
It looks as though they just got back from shopping.
Winter has got her purse on
and she brought a bag from Costco.
Pepper has an Ikea bag.
It was fun photographing them with their ‘electric shades’ with the tree set on colorful mode in the background.
The supplies that I think our elves used to put together this Elf on the Shelf: An Electric Birthday

you can look for this greeting card on eBay because I think this has been discontinued… Or you can make them by using glitter/shimmer paper (gold and silver), foam backing paper, an exacto knife, and blue and red paper shimmery paper for the eyes.
Ikea mini bag keychain bag
Costco mini bag- check eBay or your local warehouse for these they give them free sometimes when people sign up for memberships
giant gold bow– came on my daughter’s present
dab of hot glue and a hot glue gun
How I think our elves put together this scene, Elf on the Shelf: An Electric Birthday
1- They cut out the glasses from a card we had with children going to the movies and eating popcorn. They put them on with a dab of hot glue onto the sides of the glasses attached to their hats.
2- They got their 80’s t-shirt on, put on their freeze stands, and went shopping.
3- Winter had her purse on. Winter and Pepper brought the Costco and Ikea mini bags full of stickers and bendable pencils.
4- They sharpened one of the pencils and wrote a note to Denali.
I left Denali the body board with a standing balloon, bow, card, and Prime squishy.
That’s it.
