Elf on the Shelf: Sledding
Our elves are sledding.
It looks like they are having a blast.
They are on a cute little sled with metal runners.
And are zooming down a hill of powder.
Pepper Mint, Winter Mint’s brother, looks like he is hanging on for dear life.
They must be cooking because Winter’s goggles are askew and their hats and scarves are blowing up in the wind.
Seeing them sledding made me wish for a white Christmas so we could go sledding too.
Alas, the forecast has no snow soon.
Ohh well, next year maybe.
The supplies that I think our elves used for this scene, Elf on the Shelf: Sledding
Pepper’s outfit
Items to make goggles, earmuffs, and a scarf (I guess how it was done on this post here).
green felt (pompom backing)
green glitter pom pom cut in half
Dragon goggle logo printed to a tiny scale (to print this Google Dragon Google logo and print at ~5-10% scale)
Scarf: giant green pipe cleaner/chenille stem
Snowboarding Barbie set (pants)
Winter’s outfit
Snowboarding Barbie set (jacket, goggles, and pants)
A white beanie taken off a Santa figurine
Scene/backdrop
A little wooden sled about 6 inches by 2.5 inches doll sized 6:1 scale. I just had this in my Christmas decoration bin and they took it out. I do not know where it came from. It was likely a decoration given to me from my grandma. She is often giving me her unwanted Christmas decor.
A white pillow to go under the faux snow and create a hill
How I think our elves put together this scene, Elf on the Shelf: Sledding

The scene was already set up from their snowboard tow scene and snowshoeing scene.
However, I do think that they put a pillow under the faux snow to form a hill on which they could sled.
See this snowmobiling post if you want to know how I think Pepper made his goggles and ear muffs.
Winter sat in the front crisscrossing her legs and holding on tight.
A dab of hot glue or illusion cord may have been used to keep Winter’s hand on the sled.
Pepper got in the back and is holding on to Winter and tucking his legs into the front of the sled.
Pepper has a hook and clasp on his hands. Illusion cord/thread could have also been used for a similar effect.
That’s it.
Since the background of snowy winter scene was already completed by our elves days ago and I just left it out, it looks as though today’s scene only took a few minutes.
Thanks, Winter and Pepper!
