Recently, my youngest child turned two; I put together an inexpensive Woodland Birthday Party to celebrate with family and friends.
I had so many compliments from friends and family who attended this party. I loved decorating and creating items and food for this party.
What drew me to a woodland theme was that I knew that I could do a nice party inexpensively.
I have a budget of $100-$200 for birthday parties depending on if we provide a meal. We did this time around so I worked within a $200 budget. This post 17 tips to an inexpensive birthday party gives more specific details about how I fit large parties into a small budget.
When looking at woodland party ideas, I knew we had logs from cut-down Aspen trees in the forest in our backyard.
I used those for my Winter front door decor two years ago, we had pine trees from Christmas decorations, pine garlands I got on sale after Christmas, and a bunch of sisal animals from past Thanksgiving decorations like this mantel.
Another great thing about choosing a woodland theme is that there are plenty of places that sell items for this theme, you can also source a lot of the decor from Christmas decorations, outdoor greenery, etc.
Invitations- I was able to get invitations for free via Shutterfly promo that they often do. There was a promo code for “12 free invitations + shipping”; shipping costs were $6.00. So really, with the promo code, they were .50 cents each with shipping but they were so cute and high quality, they were worth it.
