White Pampas and Red Heart Valentine’s Day Wreath
I love wreaths! They are so fun to make and use to decorate.
This wreath was easy and quick, and I love the elegant look it turned out to have.
It only took me about 20 minutes and didn’t cost me anything (as I was repurposing items I had on hand). If interested, here’s how you can make one as well…
How to Make this White Pampas and Red Heart Valentine’s Day Wreath
Continue reading and/or watch the video tutorial on how to make this wreath.
1- I placed the two faux-pampas wreaths upside down and connected them by pulling the back pampas stems around to the front of the top wreath; this connected them without having to use wire. Please watch the video on this post if that is confusing. I did this to bulk up the wreath and make more of a statement on my front door.
2- Then, I turned over the wreath and fluffed it up.
3- I placed the sprigs of red and white berry hearts where I thought they would look nice. I made sure to position them in an equally spaced manner and set them all going in the same direction as the pampas grass.
4- I turned over the wreath again so the front was face down and secured the sprigs of berries with hot glue onto the frame of the wreath. I made sure to only hot glue the picks to the frame of the wreath so that I didn’t ruin any of the faux pampas grass and so that I could remove the picks easily to reuse this wreath again. This works I know, because I’ve used this wreath a few times before.
5- Next, I turned the wreath over again so that it was face up and I gently pulled on the sprigs to test them to make sure they were all secure. I re-glued the loose ones.
6- I hung the wreath on the door.
Supply List and Cost of this White Pampas and Red Heart Valentine’s Day Wreath
Off-white Pampas wreaths (exact ones or similar here)
Red and white berry heart sprigs. I bought the sprigs from Hobby Lobby. They’ve sold out of the red and white and the white and pink. It seems as if they return each year only to sell out extremely fast. If I wanted them asap, I’d search eBay or Mercari. I want the pink and white, so I will set an alarm to buy them end of December or the beginning of January of next year.
I reused the red and white heart sprigs from this wreath
and I reused the Pampas wreaths from my mantel decor display, so this wreath did not cost me anything except a few cents in the hot glue that I used.
The total cost for this wreath was just a few cents for a stick of hot glue.
I try to purchase items that I could use and reuse for years. These white pampas wreaths have already been used a few times.
I can’t wait to see how I use them next!
