Frozen Birthday Party for a Four-Year-Old

My daughter is obsessed with Frozen; when I asked her what she wanted for her birthday party theme she very emphatically said that she wanted a Frozen party!

Normally, I choose themes that are a little more rustic, like this Peter Rabbit Birthday Party, or this Woodland birthday party, but once my kids are older they get to choose the theme of their party (within reason).

For example, last year Amelia had a Paw Patrol party, and recently my older kids have had themes like Encanto, Just Add Magic, Polar Bear/Sledding, and Star Wars.

Once Amelia chose the theme, “Frozen” I started planning.

I made these invitations in Photoshop.

The photo/background of the invite was when my family went to the Midway Ice Castles this year. It was just too perfect to not include the photo in the invite.

Then, I found some cardboard stand-up Elsa, Anna, and Olaf characters on the classifieds for $20.00 and I resold them for that.

I set up our backdrop frame with white sparkle curtains. I had these from previous parties.

My husband and kids and I made the balloon arch.

I hung it on our backdrop frame.

Amelia was getting so, so excited!

I covered the table with white tablecloths and some white tulle I had.

The tulle gave each table a nice sparkle.

I put some stuffed Frozen characters in the middle of the tables, sprinkled some glitter, faux ice cubes, and faux snowflakes on the tulle.

Then, I put out the table settings which were clear cutlery and glasses with iridescent straws and sparkle snowflake plates.

I put faux snow and glitter and some blue faux ice on the food table.

Sometimes people I know ask me why I do big parties like these.

It’s because of the excitement and joy that my kids experience leading up to and during their parties.
